Terms Of Service
Last Updated: 20 August 2026
This page is provided for transparency. It is not legal advice to you. We may update it; the published version applies.
1. Who We Are
Kumberi is operated by K Imba Holdings Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our").
Contact: support@kumberi.co.uk. Website: https://www.kumberi.co.uk.
Registered office and Companies House company number: available on request / to be stated on this page once confirmed by the business.
2. Agreement To These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kumberi website and services at kumberi.co.uk, including any related applications, content, and features (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, purchasing access, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
3. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Material changes will be indicated by updating that date (and, where appropriate, by notice in the Service or by email). Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different approach for consumers.
4. Eligibility
The Service is offered only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the United Kingdom. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements. If you do not, you must not access or use the Service.
5. Accounts And Security
To use certain features you must register an account and provide accurate, complete information. You must keep your login credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under your account, except where unauthorised use results from our failure to take reasonable security measures.
Notify us promptly at support@kumberi.co.uk if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably suspect unauthorised use, fraud, or a security risk.
6. Description Of The Service
Kumberi is an educational UK financial modelling and life-decision simulation tool. It allows you to enter information you choose to provide (such as income, expenses, property, pensions, and goals) and to explore illustrative projections, scenarios, and decision outcomes.
The Service may include a free tier, paid Premium subscriptions, single-purchase decision unlocks, and limited Lifetime access offers, as described on our pricing pages and in section 10.
The Service does not connect to your bank accounts, use Open Banking, sell financial products, arrange investments, or manage money on your behalf.
7. Regulatory Status And Non-Advice
7.1 Not FCA-regulated. K Imba Holdings Ltd / Kumberi is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We do not provide regulated financial advice, sell regulated financial products, or manage investments.
7.2 Educational modelling only. Content, outputs, charts, scores, plan checks, Monte Carlo paths, and similar features are for education, illustration, and personal exploration only. They are based on assumptions, user inputs, and models that may be incomplete, simplified, or out of date.
7.3 Not personalised advice. Nothing in the Service is personalised investment, tax, legal, mortgage, or pension advice. Outputs must not be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, borrow, or change any product or course of action.
7.4 Professional advice. Before making important financial decisions, you should consider obtaining advice from a suitably qualified, independently regulated professional (for example an FCA-authorised adviser where advice is required).
7.5 No guarantee of outcomes. Projections and simulations do not predict or guarantee real-world results. Markets, tax rules, inflation, interest rates, employment, and personal circumstances can change. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in breach of any applicable law or regulation;
- impersonate us, another user, or any other person or entity;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, accounts, systems, or data, or to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service except as permitted by law or with our prior written consent;
- upload malware or content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes others' rights;
- use the Service to provide regulated financial advice to third parties, or to present our outputs as regulated advice;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by us.
9. User Content And Licence
You retain ownership of the information and content you enter into the Service (for example scenario inputs and notes) ("User Content"). You are responsible for User Content and for ensuring you have the right to provide it.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and create technical copies of User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service for you (including backups, troubleshooting, and delivering features you request). This licence ends when User Content is deleted from our live systems, subject to residual copies in backups for a reasonable period and any retention required by law.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content and do not use it to sell advertising or to provide your identifiable financial inputs to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service—including software, models, design, text, graphics, logos, and branding (excluding User Content)—is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.
11. Subscriptions, Fees, Billing, And Refunds
11.1 Plans. We may offer:
- a free tier with limited features;
- Premium subscription at £7.99 per month or £79.99 per year (or such other prices as published at the time of purchase);
- single decision unlocks (currently £3.99 per unlock, or such other price as published);
- optional Lifetime access (currently £299, limited availability, or such other price and limits as published).
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.
11.2 Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorise Stripe (and us) to charge the payment method you provide for the relevant fees and any applicable taxes.
11.3 Auto-renewal. Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You authorise recurring charges on your payment method for successive periods unless you cancel before the renewal date.
11.4 Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription via your account settings or by contacting support@kumberi.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then unless otherwise required by law. Single unlocks and Lifetime purchases are one-off charges and do not auto-renew.
11.5 Lifetime access. "Lifetime" means access to Premium features for as long as the Service remains generally available and operational under our control. It is not a guarantee of perpetual availability, identical features forever, or survival if the Service is discontinued. Lifetime access is non-transferable and subject to any published purchase limits. If we discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
11.6 Single-purchase credits / unlocks. Single decision unlocks grant the stated access for the purchased decision or credit entitlement and do not constitute an ongoing subscription.
11.7 Refunds. Subject to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day refund window from purchase for paid plans and Lifetime access. After 30 days, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law. To request a refund within the window, contact support@kumberi.co.uk or use our Contact page.
11.8 Consumer Rights Act 2015 (digital content). If you are a consumer in the UK, you have legal rights in relation to digital content, including that content should be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose made known to us, and as described. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits those rights where it would be unlawful to do so. If digital content is faulty, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement and, in some cases, a price reduction or refund, in accordance with applicable law. Cooling-off and refund rules for distance contracts may also apply depending on how and when you purchase and whether you have asked us to begin supply of digital content during a cancellation period.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that projections, tax treatments, mortgage figures, pension estimates, Monte Carlo results, or other outputs will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your circumstances. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, though we aim to keep the Service reliable.
Tax and policy rules change. Models may lag legislative updates. You remain responsible for verifying important figures with official sources or qualified professionals.
13. Limitation Of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law (including certain consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for:
- loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings;
- indirect or consequential loss;
- losses arising from reliance on educational projections or from financial decisions you make;
- loss of or corruption to data, except to the extent caused by our failure to take reasonable care;
- failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control (including payment processors or hosting providers).
Subject to the non-excludable liabilities above, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period, and (b) £100.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from and against reasonable losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms.
15. Suspension And Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe continued access poses a security, legal, or abuse risk. You may stop using the Service and request account closure at any time by contacting support. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.
We may modify or discontinue features or the Service. Where practicable we will give reasonable notice of material discontinuation affecting paid access.
16. Governing Law And Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence in the UK where mandatory consumer protections so require.
