Cookie Policy
Last Updated: 21 August 2026
This page is provided for transparency. It is not legal advice to you. We may update it; the published version applies.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Kumberi (operated by K Imba Holdings Ltd) ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit https://www.kumberi.co.uk (the "Website").
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies is designed to comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
2. What Are Cookies And Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as localStorage (for example to remember cookie consent choices and session-related preferences).
Cookies set by us are first-party cookies. Cookies set by other organisations in connection with services we use (for example analytics, if you consent) are third-party cookies. Third parties may recognise your device when you visit our Website and, depending on their practices, other sites.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- make the Website and Service work (authentication, security, load balancing where applicable);
- remember your cookie consent choices;
- understand how the product is used via analytics only if you consent.
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies to serve third-party ads on the Website.
4. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are required for the Website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems without breaking core features. They typically include:
- authentication and session cookies needed to keep you signed in securely;
- security-related tokens and abuse-prevention measures;
- storage of your consent preference itself (so we know whether to show the banner again);
- load balancing or infrastructure cookies required to deliver the site reliably, where used by our hosts.
Lawful basis: these are exempt from consent under PECR where strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested. Related personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy (contract and/or legitimate interests as applicable).
5. Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
If you accept analytics cookies, we may use PostHog (EU) and/or Google Analytics 4 to understand product usage and improve the Service. Analytics scripts and related cookies/storage are not activated until you consent via our cookie banner (or equivalent preference controls).
5.1 PostHog (EU)
Purpose: product and navigation analytics. Typical cookie / storage name patterns include:
- ph_* — analytics identifiers and related PostHog state (duration as set by the provider);
- __ph_opt_in_out_* — PostHog opt-in/out preference markers where used (duration as set by the provider).
PostHog is configured to use an EU/EEA-oriented deployment where practicable. Session recording is not relied upon as a core offering.
5.2 Google Analytics 4
Purpose: aggregated website/product usage measurement. Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* (duration as set by Google). We apply Consent Mode defaults (analytics storage denied until you accept) and privacy-oriented configuration flags where available (including IP anonymisation settings).
Lawful basis for analytics cookies: consent. You may withdraw consent at any time using the controls below.
6. Functional Cookies
Beyond strictly necessary items, limited functional storage may be used to remember interface preferences required for a coherent experience. Where such storage is not strictly necessary, we will treat it as requiring consent. Essential "functional" preferences in our consent banner refer to core Service operation and remain enabled.
7. Marketing Cookies
Our cookie preference UI may include a marketing toggle for future use. Marketing cookies are not currently used on Kumberi to serve advertising. Selecting or rejecting marketing preferences does not currently enable third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce marketing cookies later, we will update this policy and obtain consent before use.
8. How To Manage Consent
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner: when you first visit (or after resetting preferences), choose Accept, Reject, or customise analytics preferences.
- Reset preferences: use the button below to clear
cookie-consent-givenandcookie-preferencesfrom localStorage so the banner appears again. - Browser settings: block or delete cookies via your browser controls. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or other core features from working.
Reset Cookie Preferences
Clear your saved consent choices and show the cookie banner again on your next visit.
9. Privacy Policy
For details of how we process personal data (including lawful bases, retention, and your rights), see our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes To This Cookie Policy
